One of Australias best-known and loved actors, Tasma has just released her debut novel Heartless.
Tasma Walton was born and raised in Western Australia and now lives in Melbourne. Since studying at NIDA, she has worked extensively as an actor on Australian television in series such as Blue Heelers, The Secret Life of Us and City Homicide. As a scriptwriter, she has several screenplays and a TV series in development and she is also an accomplished artist. Her striking debut novel, Heartless, is released this week.

Heartless opens with a girl who is faced with lifes hardships at an early age. Her seven-year-old heart hardens to the world and she prepares to face the future without love. Every seven years we meet her again as she grows into a young woman who does eventually find a match for her heart. However, she makes a dramatic decision which reverberates through the years ahead. As she travels through lifes milestones education, career, relationships and motherhood she must allow herself to love and be loved in return.

Tasma Waltons debut novel is a moving and confronting fable about the power of the human heart, the worthiness of its desires and the often dire consequences of ignoring them.
