Other songs on this alblum include, Erik the Awful, Fred, Ned the Nostril and the South Seas Paradise, Joggin, newer version of (Further More), Mississippi Squirrel Revival, Happy Hour, Monkeys Theme Song, and It's Me again Margaret! Came out in 1984 on the MCA Label, available on Lp&Cassette, and later CD back then, and even 8-track through RCA record club. First came out titled "He Thinks He's Ray Stevens", relased once on cd as MississipiSquirrelRevival in the 1990s. This was a great alblum!
This came out in 1984, a few short years later I heard this for the first time, the whole alblum, I laughed my a double s off, then started buying his recordings, then went and seen him in concert, I never laughed so hard in my life, and what talent, playing the piano, guiltars, and his band was awesome, what a night to remember.
@JennyMichaels: I don't own the official CD release of HE THINKS HE'S RAY STEVENS...which is the name of the 1984 album that this song originated from. I've got the 1992 CD re-issue titled MISSISSIPPI SQUIRREL REVIVAL which is the same 1984 album but with a different title and picture sleeve. The 1984 release has him dressed as Napoleon on the cover. The 1992 re-release shows him wearing a red jacket with a map of Mississippi in the background.
Waylon Jennings wrote another song called "Get Your Tongue Out of My Mouth, I'm Kissin' You good-bye" It's on here too. Ray Stevens, Waylon...none like them
This is brilliant! Thanks for sharing it.
