@Squa7ch, that's too bad the udac-2 doesn't work with it. I just picked one up for my mbp and the sound improved greatly.

You'd still need a DAC of some sort to get the best quality possible from the iPad...too bad the uDAC-2 doesn't work with it :(.

The whole point of the A2s are that they have a built in amplifier yet still provide excellent sound quality. If however some people feel they must have separates then you could always try the N22 mini amp combined with the P4 passive speakers.
