We have volunteer which is staffed by attendants, drivers etc.. but they can't do a call without the volunteer EMT. So, yes, BLS can be volunteer here.

Our paid EMT's from both the municipal and commercial services are utilized by other volunteer BLS squads who historically have difficulty crewing up certain times of the day. Therefore, we will provide EMT's to these squads, who are now paid to volunteer. And there you have it: BLS can be volunteer if they can crew, or paid EMT's will.

Dispatch has a dart board and that is how they prioritize calls. I know, I've seen the board

There is no reason that planned or scheduled inter facility transports should cause a truck to be late. It's just poor planning.
