Contaminated Milk in China

Since recently coming back to live in China, our 6th year, we've come to learn that the brand of liquid milk (no longer just formula milk) and what we've been giving to our young daughter, has been tainted with the chemical melanine. though we are "greatly disturbed" at this, we can't help but feel for so many parents whose young children have been hospitalized (6,200 as of now) and the 4 infants who've died of painful acute renal failure! we hope that punishment is both appropriate and thorough!

actually, seka1986 we do enjoy one of the highest food safety standards in the world; but it has taken us a long while to get to where we are today. because many have gone ahead of us and pushed hard for the development and sustainability of the FDA, so many americans now simply regard this administration as "the way it always has been." But things will always surface even in our country, remember the tomato scare? the beef recall in feb 2008? even the spinach recall several years ago?

I am a Chinese and sorry about your little gril has eaten some milk products. Is she all right? I also felt really shame about that.

In fact, Guangming, Yili, Mengniu and some others Chinese milk companies weren't exactly invovled in the scandal. All babies were actually poison by Sanlu(三鹿) which the most service one.
