This is a selection of photos of my beloved Welsh Terrier, Rowan. He was adopted from the Fox Terrier Rescue and was our hero. He went through 4 homes, almost 2 years in and out of kennels and battled two cancers. Through all this he remained positive towards life - his outgoing fun-loving and trusting nature was incredible and inspirational.
We loved him for the dog he was - energetic, feisty, stubborn, loving, and most of all fun. We miss you Rowan, Love Mom, Dad, Zia and Sally

  • I love the picture at the beach of Rowan and a friend. But, I had a Welsh Terrier, and the pic at 2:49 captures a moment I saw in my dog too. It's a moment when a terrier is reflecting upon something - maybe his good fortune in finding you.

  • Thank you so much for your kind comment - I am sorry it has taken so long to reply but I find it still very hard to talk about him without great sadness at his passing - as you with Kato or me with Rowan - I am missing a true friend - but I take comfort in the fact that he was happy and loved and that is all that matters. Thank you again for your comment -

  • I love how your baby is smiling all of the time. I never saw a baby smile so much.

I am wating for my baby to come from MO. I will teach Wanda Abbigail (welsh terrier) how to smile the first thing in memory of Your Rowan. MY heart breaks for you.

    I am sorry for you.

  • i SEE YOUR BABY LOVED TO SMILE.. NOW I WILL TEACH MINE TO SMILE IN HONOR OR ROWAN. I EXTEND MY HEART FELT TEARS. I ONLY THINK OF OUR BABIES. THEY ALL LOOK SO MUCH ALIKE. THESE ARE THE BEST DOGS I HAVE EVER OWNED. I HAVE HAD MANY MANY PUREBREEDS. ALL WONDERFUL. BUT, THE WELSH TERRIER IS THE BEST THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. I CANT WAIT TILL MY LITTLE GIRL HAS HER OWN.
  • I lost my Welsh terrier last May at 15.5 years old. We were his 3rd home & 3rd foster home. He was a real character and it was so hard to say goodbye. I could write a book....but what I really wanted to say is that he looked very much like Rowan. Originally from a NY WTCA breeder – I wonder if they are related. We've had WTs since 1974 and many fosters. Each is full of personality and special.

  • A sweet tribute. Our Welshie is a little over 2yrs old and such a joy! He's got such a good sense of humor and is certainly his own dog. Stubborn too, but such a love.

  • I lost my welsh to cancer a few months ago after 7 great years. I literally lost my best friend when she went. I never knew your dog, but i know how bad it huts to lose a dog with that kind of personality. im truly sorry for your loss

  • Bless him, its lovely know his final home was a happy one.

  • what a wonderful life Rowan had with you, such wonderful memories you must have. x
