the only people without shelter are those who embrace this philosophy it is anti-reason anti logic and anti mind. all they talk about is need they would have you turn from natural tendencies to think to achieve and to succeed and instead become your brothers keeper, doing nothing for yourself and everything for the most worthless.

Transcendentalism wasn't about turning you back on society, living in a cave, and dying when you're 40. Returning to nature was a way to return to ourselves, and THEN return into society, enlightened, able to see through society's delusions, and perhaps do something to change society and its priorities. Transcendentalism wasn't about escape, but transformation, living life to the fullest, and finding our true nature.

the earth is nice to look at, but living closer to it results in a shorter life. FUCK that
God isnt real either. You need to learn how to distinguish fact vs EMOTION.

all im saying is that people should take this into consideration and look at the earth in such a manner that they will see the true beauty in nature and feel God throughout. I'm not sying become cavemen again, just be closer to nature and God in general, relating much to transcendentalism.

im all ears. provide an actual philosophical argument that states man would be better off with this philosophy.
Try to be somewhat pragmatic. Hopefully you lean a little more empirical. If you dont know what im talking about you are in no position to be defending any philosophy, but rather just studying it.

and we come to the conclusion of my previous comment. Nice presentation.

so i guess i should open my mind to a philosophy that basically would shorten the quality and length of my life. sounds great, fuckass.

try something called... Being more of an open minded person! Too bad there aren't as many of them anymore.
Transcendentalism without responsibility is worthless. It's not about selfishness or doing whatever pleases you. It's about being true to yourself--and to the LIFE around you. It's not about selfishness, it's about being in step with the life around you, while thinking outside the box and choosing a different perspective.
Nice video.
