Apple introduced the Digital AV Adapter with iPad 2. So what about the VGA Adapter? This is a look at how it works with Mirroring on the iPad 2 and all the other compatible IOS devices.

Mirroring supported only by iPad 2.
Video out supports up to 1080p for iPad 2 and up to 720p for iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod touch (4th generation). Movies play at up to 720p.
Purchased content with DRM (Digitla Rights Management) restrictions will not playback over VGA because it does not support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). Only digital connections like HDMi, DisplayPort, and DVI are compatible with HDCP.
