"Cranky's Christmas Mojo" ~Remix~ from Donkey Kong Country 3 (GBA)

Merry Christmas, everyone! Using my Roland Fantom X6, I created a quick Christmas-themed remix based on my track ("Cranky's Mojo") from the DKC3 ReMix Album, "Double the Trouble," as thanks to various communities who have helped me in different ways. The source song is "Cranky's Dojo," featured in Donkey Kong Country 3 for the Game Boy Advance. Please listen in 720p!

Styles such as those found in the music of Animal Crossing (Kazumi Totaka) and Donkey Kong Country (David Wise) influenced this composition, as well as a bit of chord progression techniques from The Legend of Zelda series (Koji Kondo). Originally, this was going to be just for my YouTube channel, but this remix now features as part of An OverClocked Christmas v.5! Please enjoy!

I'm not a fan of the DKC3 GBA soundtrack, because I feel like Dave Wise really messed up on it. However, this song is still really good, and I definitely do feel a Christmas vibe to it. :)

@DJ17Nario I used to feel that way about the GBA soundtrack, too. In fact, I still feel that way with some of the tracks, but David Wise created some brilliant pieces here and there.

An example a good composition from DKC3 GBA is Rockface Rumble. Whether or not it's DKC-style is up for debate, but I definitely feel it's a great piece. The GBA just has a poor sound interface compared to the SNES....

Although I have not played "Super Donkey Kong 3" of "GBA" once, it turns out that you

imagined "snow" and were made only from my having listened to this music.

@kenjik3 Arigatou gozaimasu. The song is mostly original, except the main melody concept. The style is adopted from Doubutsu no Mori DS/Wii.

@Kevvviiinnn Thanks! The style made this fitting for both the DK community and the AC community as well. Strangely enough, I have another remix in the works that relates to the DKC series. Kind of a coincidence....

This remix is superb! The Totaka influences are clear--in fact, I'd go as far as to say this would fit perfectly in an Animal Crossing installment. What a great way to bring the holidays to a close.
