Blackboard in 60 Seconds - Adding a Syllabus and Textbook

Blackboard is set up to help you create a syllabus and assign a textbook.
In a content area click on Build Content and then select Syllabus.
Name your syllabus and choose whether you would like to create a new syllabus or use an existing file.
Using an existing file will create a link rather than showing the syllabus within Blackboard.
A syllabus created within Blackboard will have three distinct sections with headings you can re-label to suit your purposes.
Then click Submit.
In order to help ensure that students purchase the correct texts for classes Blackboard includes a tool that shows not only the ISBN, Title, Author, Subtitle, and Publisher of a book but often a picture as well.
Select the book you would like your students to purchase, select whether it is required or only recommended for the course, click Submit and it will appear along with your Syllabus in your new content area.
