Thanks for posting this! I play it for my three year old who has just started Suzuki... it's great encouragement for her!! I'm going to have to try to get the wiggles out at the beginning our our practices!

You're a wonderful teacher! I'm sure they'll grow up to be great violinists.

@TheGaymers Actually, he is holding the bow correctly accroding to the Suzuki program. In the program, they teach very very young children to hold the bow like that because their fine motor skill is not there yet. In fact, his thumb is precisely where it should be: touching the hair and the ferrel. This is the only time they are allowed to touch the bow hair. When he is ready, his thumb will drop to where he is supposed to hold. Their mother is a very good teacher :)

thats not how u hold the bow, but nice still

He's not holding the bow properly :).

the second one is so cute a bit shy... just loved him..

my mom started me on piano at 3,
because the music teacher said that a kid should not start violin before 4.
then i started violin at 4.
It would be great if they would stay interested until then!
This video is actually two videos of my twin boys spliced together.. I wish I had put one of them in a different colored shirt to make it easier to tell when I switch between them!
So far, they are enjoying the learning process. They love learning the names of the strings, etc just like they love learning a new song or singing their ABC's. They can't wait until they can start actually playing, which should be pretty soon!
