A small induction heater built in one afternoon to demonstrate another possible use of the circuit shown in my wireless power video. It uses a bank of 16 0.27uF capacitors, IRFP150 mosfets and is powered from 30V DC supply. Peak power delivered was measured over 600W. First it's shown melting a brass coin, a steel coin (more like burning it though) and a piece of aluminum in full time it took to heat them up after throwing the switch, with some aluminum re-melting later.

  • You should add " zvs induction flyback driver " to the search tags, so more people look at this amazing video. It may not be intended as a flyback driver, but it still can drive flybacks.
