@redwingsmike3718 Red wings were indeed a powerhouse through the late 90's to until this past season.. Every team hits it's hot spot when all the rebuilding and star players comes around... Detroit's time in my opinion is over... they've had their glory and now it's time to pass it on to those younger teams like L.A. and phoenix etc. Just because a team doesn't win championships.. doesnt mean people cant cheer for them.. There are plenty of teams who havent won in a long time if ever *vancouver*

We're in the fifth year of a cap world. The Wings have made the playoffs every year. Won the division title in 4 of 5. Been to 3 Western Finals and 2 Stanley Cup Finals. They've won a Championship. What have the Calgary Flames done in that time?

It's 2010. Not 2002. Wings aren't better because they buy their players. They are better because the Detroit front office is the smartest and most astute in the league at drafting and developing talent.

@cc1017313 Well the flames haven't done much because they don't have any money too, see unlike the red wings they don't buy their championships, they've had roster issues for the past 6 years but once that's all cleared up they'll be way better
