From http://theinterviewpoint.com, Huckabee discusses the selfishness that sometimes obscures religious values and his nuanced position on evolution. Like his fellow Hope, Arkansan Bill Clinton he enjoys campaigning and the occasional on-stage solo.

  • What a great interview. I'm Catholic, and I can attest that Mike Huckabee's views and beliefs are 100% compatible with mine and with what the Church teaches. It doesn't matter the pulpit from which he preaches, what matters is that he's preaching the truth as it was taught by Christ Jesus. Mike Huckabee is the best candidate to be President of the United States.

  • A great interview! Go Mike!!

  • He does not want the Southern Baptist Church involved with the state. Him bringing his personal values to the table is not problematic, it is actually impossible to separate who you are from what you do.

It would be like me asking for you to keep your belief in their being no God separate from decisions you make.

Huckabee being others centered mean that he think we owe God service to others.

  • Huckabee has a very serious problem regarding his views on the separation of HIS church and OUR state.

What do you mean by 'others' centered?

  • Because government should not be meddling in religious institutions or doctrine, but most people think that someone's values should follow them into office like they should follow people anywhere else. So what specifically scares you about him? That he wants to be others centered? Or that he wants to obey values he believes to be handed down by God? Because many of the founding fathers believed in God, not all in the same doctrinal sense, but they all let that inform their beliefs and policy.

  • Fascism? Really donutmangreen? Fascism?

    Good grief.

  • he is scary

    smiley faced fascism

  • hes a robot

  • This man seems nice, but his views frighten me.

I have a question, if 90% of America believes in god (false), then why is there such a large opposition to government endorsement of religion?

Government is world centered because that is the realm it deals with. You keep your god to yourself and we will be fine.

  • one mistake is his quote addressed a conflict in 'world view' yet his argument only pertained to America. I'm sure that he didn't do this intentionally, but alot of people would find it fallacious to do so. I liked his argument for evolution though. If allowed, religion and science could get along fine.

  • Has any one seen the Chris Tomlin's dvd special (see the morning). On it has Louie Gigulio, the executive producer, and the guest speaker. It is well worth your time. There is true evidence that God created all things, including us. Look up laminine. It's the protein that constructs out bodies, keeping it together. It's the glue that keeps us together.

  • If you believe the Bible: "The evening & the morning was the first day" and believe "days" "evenings" "mornings" pertain to the ones we now have (God wrote the Bible so you & I could understand what He wants us to know) then I have no problem excluding Evolution, because we don't need it.
