Because you are so deep and in a shadow minecraft thinks you are in a cave and that dark thing is the depth fog

To fix it use Optifine it optimises minecraft and you can change most graphic features.

That is not a bug :P It becomes darker when you get closer to the bedrock level. And in 1.9 you have the void fog that makes it impossible to see in caves :/ There is some mods that makes it normal. So it is not that dark anymore :D

@Thakrulll Orly? Well...even if they did it un purpose I just think it shouldn't be that way. A mod to fix it shouldn't be needed imo.

@FamicomGaming Yea he is right.. I didn't know this till lately either.. I made a video mainly on bedrock level and it was so dark. Go up a few levels and it was fine.. Keep an eye out for the Great Monster Run on M1neTube.. I don't like this effect either, I think you should be able to turn it off on servers?
