  • or ou could just use a regular fly

  • do not attempt this in canada this is a snagging method and it is illegal since the fish is not being hooked inside of the mouth

  • AKRIVERMAN can't land them anyway! Maybe you should try this to help you out....

  • Not a legal method in Alaska.

  • OR you could just use a regular fly.....

  • Very interesting, Im going to try it!

  • I want to thank you for this video.

In the videos I have posted on my inland fishing adventures for bream, chubs, bass, etc., I have remarked repeatedly how I need to "readjust my worm" (nightcrawler) off of the circle hook up onto the line just above the hook eye.

My preferred rod action is left or right, not upward.

The circle hook sets in the corner of the mouth preferentially rather than gut hooking.

Now I understand "the why" of what I had found by systematic experimentation.

  • thats called Line dragging! very effective snagging method for river fish!

  • this method is illegal where I'm from. CA DFG rules define this as "Snagging".

  • i just drop the rod tip and when i see the line moving off straight thru the water then i slowly pull up
