Provided with just this Harry Neilson song, the assignment was to build an animation using Gestalt principles of figure and ground, in an abstract sense. This was final project for Desigh Synectics class. Took me one week of intense storyboarding, and one week, including an all-nighter to complete in After Effects. One of the toughest animations I ever built because it had to synchronize with the music which drove me crazy.

  • Cool concept! I enjoyed the video.

One thing -- the song seemed a bit choppy at times. What's up with that?

  • @AndrewMarcell hmmm... Probably the song was not compressed correctly. This was 4 years ago, heh!

  • love it. and love the song by harry nilsson!!! did you ever hear the whole album, the point?

  • Nope. I did see the movie when I was a little kid, and by the end of this project, all of us in class were sick of it.

  • Love this song it was me & my bestfriends song her last name was Arrowood

  • Absolutely one of the greatest albums ever - next to "Me and My Arrow" I say "Think About Your Troubles" is the other highlight of that album- and if I remember, the CD that most recently came out has a couple bonus tracks that are pretty good (including a demo "Think About Your Troubles"). Cheers! - The Winkler
