Heres a virtual movie of a recital of a beautifuly descriptive poem called. ... poem called "The Dead Duck" written and recited by an unknown boy poet of approximately 12 years of age. This a relatively early example of a recording of a child poet reciting their work recorded in the early 1960's Children arent particularly well represented in the recorded archives so this is rather special.
The child depicted reading it is actualy myself in 1966 aged 6 I was
photographed in a special reading class at Corams Fields special classrooms in Bloomsbury central London as due to my poor eyesight and nervous disposition I was behind on my reading skills. Those fantastic wire framed glasses were supplied by the British National Health Service we used to call them "Dustbin Lids" ha ha.
Kind Regards
