I watched something recently, I think it was the animation 'Persepolis', where one person breathed in smoke from a cigarette, and another person exhaled the smoke. That shared respiration is the sort of rhythm and emotion and 'one-ness' I wanted to edit in here (purely for fun, of course), but it meant, and means a lot to me.

This remains my favourite edit, even though I know no-one else feels that way.

  • Gorgeous edit, i like how you had it begining with their deaths and then clean editing of their lives thereafter. You're really talented. :)

  • Thankyou, I really appreciate your comment!

  • Ah, I remember this book. I remember scanning it in my local libary-made my friend cry. This was a masterful selection of clips with a simple, poigant song and very clever editing in order to give the required emotion. This form of editing is my favourite, and you have it down to a art.

    Loved it. :]

  • Thanks so much Red, your comments make everything worthwhile. =]

I intend to read the book, but my friend said she'll only lend it to me once I've done all of my Summer work. Hmm. Looks like I'll have to be getting it from a library!

  • Wow, very beautiful video; the effects were fitting. :) I saw Atonement; it was beautiful, touching and powerful.

  • Oh noes, it's not supposed to be "weepy". xD Ah, well, I know what you mean...

  • I really liked that but at 2.20 something, not sure whether you did that bit, just where the characters sort off pop out from the dull background and how you mix the song with dialogue from the film made it the MV so much "weep-ier"

I need to come round your and nick this film and buy a box of tissues....

  • Beautiful video.
