Colorful parade by mostly Miao minorities at Guiyang, China on the eighth day of the 4th moon. This annual parade at Guiyang has been cancelled due to logistics reasons. The Siyueba festival, however, is still celebrated in other Guizhou locations.

  • This is the video even Chinese people themselves will not be able to see in their life time.

  • But ironically, a popular video hosting site in China rejected my submission without any explanation.

I have other rare China travel videos that you also enjoy.

  • This annual event has been canceled indefinitely as of summer 2009 due to traffic congestion and the inability to take care of the numerous paraders from the countryside. So this video captured the last parade of its kind in Guiyang.

  • wowowowow...very nice

  • Thanks.

  • i wish they had festival like this down here in the Americas. it'd be awesome to be at one.

  • For more of my videos on minority festivals, google "lenscape".

  • it's a pity that not all the groups came together though but still cool

  • This is the first video I see where all kind of Miao branches came together as one group and share their talents and other stuff. This show us that the Miao in China is still united. Great video.

  • Thank. I love your video especially this one. I am a Miaozu and some of my ancestors fled China a couple hundred years ago leaving behind many things... my parents used to tell stories about our people in China but i've never been able to see how they live or what they do. Thank you kkfung1

  • Siyueba parade is an annual event at Guiyang by the city fountain. But the date on the solar calendar varies from year to year.

By the way, the "Dehang drumming" video (search under kkfung1) is also a video about the Miao minority.

Take a look and tell me how you like it.
