Thanks for the great tutorial! I'm fairly new to cloth and have been using indian prefolds with covers. I'm contemplating buying several bumgenius 3.0s on sale (for my cloth-phobic hubby) and was concerned about the "stuffing" part. So glad to hear that simple microfiber towels work just as good as inserts! I swear, with so many options it seems the cloth diaper industry WANTS to keep us confused!

@MSLATRICE20 You can buy used diapers online at craigslist, ebay, or diaperswappers. I'm sure there are others but those are the ones i'm familar with

@ilyfel 11 now. I think of the fit of those BGs when I put them on my little one.
how do you get your baby to STAY STILL, my boy turns 7 months tomorrow and WILL NOT stay still for diaper change. He crawls, cruises , climbs stairs (supervised) ugh! Any advise on how to get him to stay still for diaper time??

@sendmejuice I'm pretty blessed that Connor is pretty good during diaper changes, but a toy helps a ton! Give him something that he doesn't usually get to play with, like your phone or keys, anything that's exciting for 2 minutes. When I worked in special ed, we had a basket for each kid by the changing table filled with their very favorite toys that they could only play with during diaper changing time.

Back in the old days everyone used cloth and safety pins. They must have been a pain in the ass so OUT CAME DISPOSABLE DIAPERS. So, why are we going backwards? They make disposable diapers of thousands of kinds. Some are biodegradabe. There cheep and if you want to dress them up put a cloth diaper cover over 'em. PROBLEM SOLVED

@jhartist123 Biodegradable diapers are much more expensive than regular disposables, and even if you want to compare prices with store brand diapers, I've saved thousands of diapers in the 2 1/2 years I've cloth diapered my son. Plus diaper rash happens much less frequently since there are no harsh chemicals on his skin! The benefits are huge!

Hi... You are using a microfibre in your video which you say is from the auto section... brilliant idea... Can i ask, have you found these mfibre to be just as good at the inserts that are sold with BG? Thanks for the video xoxo

@NEATeyePHOTOart The BG inserts are made of the same material, but they are several layers sewn together. They work just as well, but a regular towel will dry faster.
