Ok I'm just a complete noob when it comes to chemistry, but can someone tell why going from solid to liquid ( melting ) is endothermic ( requires energy ). While the solid to gas change release energy, yet still is called endothermic? Thanks for the great videos though, you're way better than my physics & chemistry teachers!

Good video. Also, water do actually change state from solid directly to gas, it take some time but it is observable.

You said for sublimation that you release energy, yet it's endothermic...Don't you mean that you require or need energy to go from solid or gas?
