I sold this gun, but I currently have a Glock 19 pistol, a 20 gauge double barrel, three .22 rifles and a WWI 30-06 bolt action...so yeah, I think I am ok.

First off, target shooting is fun as hell, so that alone is a good reason to own a gun. Second, self defense. Average response time for police in America is upwards of 6 minutes. You can be very dead waiting for cops if you are not armed to defend yourself. Third, hunting. Fourth...why the fuck not?
