emo means emotional doesn't it? I think MCR are an emo band in the sense that they put so much emotion into their songs. however, in the context we use it today (dress in black/slit wrists etc) they would not be an emo band.

I dress like an emo and listen to emo music and im not emo. Gerard Way( lead singer in case u didnt know which is fairly impossible because he's soooo hott) even said in an interview that emo is a crock of SHIT!
