  • The original CD of Blue Moves cut out five songs to fit on one disc. This was one of the missing songs. I returned the album with a complaint. I wouldn't own it without this song. Later, under the guidance of Gus Dudgeon, a double disc was issued.

  • Reminds me of Cage the Songbird, too. Very beautiful.

  • I believe this is what we call Bernie Taupin on crack. Love this song.

  • Great harmonies, and I like the piano in this song. Another unusual song from Blue Moves that works.

  • do you ppl realy get it? ive heard NO such love or passion in your words are you afraid? i love reginald hes in my soul. hes the shell by witch i hear the ocean of my life.

  • @NewShimmer Blue Moves is vastly underrated and I'd say it has a lot more than two solid songs. Tonight is simply perfection and it probably gave us the first indication of what a genius James Newton Howard is. One Horse Town is another gem again with some great work from James Newton Howard. Theme From a Nonexistant TV Series (believe that's the correct title!) is a very cool song and something I wish Elton would do more of. Cage the Song Bird is another great song, esp. the live solo version.

  • @NewShimmer Yes, Blue Moves was fascinating, he seemed on to something new and daring, a pity after time out he came back so much weaker. But he's been doing better again recently and his new album The Union, with Leon Russell, is superb. And set to chart higher in the US than any album since Blue Moves

  • 1.50 really sounds like someone saved my life tonight

  • Great song and performance. If it weren't for the puzzling lyrics, I think this song would have become a standard. Blue Moves was an interesting album. It was a noncommercial album that Elton released during his commercial peak. There were two songs that had it all together, Tonight and Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word. There were also near misses, this song, Crazy Water, and Bite Your Lip among them.
