  • By the look of the handwriting,he's originally right-handed.

  • @98bigbutt

Good call! Yup, I'm a "born righty" (but I try not to let that stop me!)

  • The younger the easier.. Pretty much. If your over 13 I'd say, it's too late to try an if you do your normal dominant hand is gona get messed up. I am ambidextrous I have been growing up and my friends at school tried and messed up.

I don't think that's true. This is my video, and I didn't learn to write "differently" until I was in my thirties, and it came very easily. As soon as I relaxed and stop convincing myself that I "couldn't do it," it started working.

In this case it was very much a matter of attitude. And the whenever I do it, I feel like I am improving something in my brain. That may be wishful thinking, but at least it's always fun to do.

Never find reasons why something "wont work" for you.

  • I just thought it would be cool if I did it,so when I tried to write with my left hand,it came so naturally I was surprised. Many of my friends, however, didn't catch on as fast as I did. Now,whenever I take a really long exam,if one of my hands cramp up I can just use the other one. It's actually kind of amazing.

    Hi, Twilight,

Yeah, it's pretty weird that some people "can just do it." I think it has a lot to do with mental outlook. Most people are centered around what they can't do.

Ever try to teach someone something while they keep repeating to themselves, "But I just can't do it!"? If they tell themselves that, they are sure to live down to their expectations.

    I'm glad you enjoy it.

    Brian

  • You had to speed up the video, right? But even if you don't do it that fast, it is pretty cool.

  • I really appreciate this, as a lefty. Thanks for showing "solidarity" with us.

  • I learnt how to become ambidextrous 2 months ago. I shock my friends. One way I drilled it in my mind was to write my affirmations everyday 15 times in my left hand, I'm right handed; or should I saw was, lol. I also do Brain Yoga daily to activate the creative side of my brain more.

  • @hoskeebo,lucky you.

  • *Clap Clap* try using both hand tgt next time

  • @BloodyHell379

I just gave it a try and it seemed easier than I thought. The handwriting was terrible, thought. So I kept at it. Practicing was kind of relaxing for me, so it wasn't a chore. You just sort of get into the zone.

I think that like most things, nature determines how easy something might be for you, but you decide how good you will be at it. You can definitely improve your "handedness" with practice.

  • is ambidexterity something u inherit or can u improve your writing on your own??

  • If everybody on the planet achieved ambidextrity we might achieve world peace
