I absolutely agree and did you notice how the double axel combined immediately with the flying camel spin?!?!?? The way the elements just all gelled together was amazing!

so, where is kristi yamaguchi now? *2010

What a fun program for a skater to perform! You know she had fun *every moment* of that performance, and it shows.

She is a real star!

i love kristi and her outfit is amazing! lol such an amazing performance by her, once again.

I loved this program! Her costume worked great with the music. Besides, it was the 90's. Last time I checked, Kristi's Doop Doop costume wasn't the craziest clothing to come out of the 90's!

It's supposed to be "QUIRKY" not "classical", nimrod. Get the monkey out of your butt ( and the tree it's been sitting in, too)/ This routine is so fresh and exiting. Music and costume meshing as one with the artist. One of Kristi's best freeform programs. Don't knowck the DoopDoop.

I always loved this number. The song and the performance were so quirky and fun. I thought it brought a different side of Kristi's skating out for us to see, Let's face it, though.... The girl could skate to anything from classical to pop, to jazz, hip-hop, blues, country. Hell, you could turn the sound down on the TV, and I'd watch her skate crossovers to the beating of my heart. Kristi is ine of the best. Why? She makes it look way too easy.
One of the great things about this program is that it's actually a short program, yet most wouldn't even think of it being one. She had the spiral sequence, straightline footwork, the three required spins (flying spin, layback, & combo), and the three required jumping passes (2axel, footwork into 3toe, & a 3flip that could be done in combination if needed). Generally you can tell if you're watching a short program because they seem to be all about the elements. This, however, was so creative!

@ohioweatherguy You are spot on in that comment. You can tell that this is a short program because she did her first jump in less than 25 seconds to the start of the program. Normally in an exhibition you won't see a jump at least into a minute and a half of the program.
