D BEAT SPEED NWOBHM IS WHAT MAKES UP BLACK METAL, AND FWBM DON'T SOUND THRASHY IT HAS MORE D BEAT INFLUENCE THAN SPEED NWOBH AND THRASH. IT CONTAINED THRASH INFLUENCES IN 85 WHEN THE SOUND WERE BEING DEVELOPED BUT FWBM WERE 40% D BEAT 20% SPEED METAL 20% NWOBHM AND 10% THRASH. YA'LL SHOULD LISTEN ALL OF HELLHAMMER'S/CELTIC FROST EARLY STUFF, VENOM'S EARLY WORK, BATHORY'S EARLY WORK, SODOM'S "IN SIGNS OF EVIL AND "OBSESSED WITH CRUELTY" ONSLAUGHT'S "POWER FROM HELL" AND THE FORCE" ETC..

Bought this record in 1989-90 in high school, it is still one of the best UK records I have ever heard!
