On Black Friday, an amazing event occurred at the Westfield Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, CT, to the delight of throngs of holiday shoppers! With everyone being in a shopping mood, a flashmob performance, involving over 130 volunteer performers, interpreted the Redefine Christmas message of charitable giving, and gave surprise charitable donations to 200 random onlookers to give to family and friends as an example of this great message. It will 'Redefine Christmas' for you, and help people around the world who need it more than ever this year.

  • So hasn't the novelty of these events worn off yet?

  • So amazing!

  • See this would be such a touching video if you didn't know the people who were running it and how rude they really were. They had good intentions but they treated the dancers who were there like dirt and only valued those with whom they had close ties. Although it's a nice sentiment, knowing how rude they were kind of ruins the whole idea...

  • @Cooriengahadventure You do realize that according to your bible "Christ" was actually born around April and not in December. The Christmas that you celebrate now is actually an adaption and amalgamation of the pagan holidays of Yule and the Winter Solstice and both of these holidays actually predate Christianity by quite some time. Soooo yeah just something to think about while you are putting your Christ in Christmas.

  • @Strangeknowledge

I hope you Americans realise with out Christ, there is no Christmas, and not much charitable giving. Read about the first and subsequent Christmas' in the bible. It really is just another day, except the shops make heaps of money.

  • @Strangeknowledge I didn't see the original message but if they were going for a non religious tone I think they should have chosen a different song. Many people my age don't know this song was a plea for peace during the Cuban missile crisis and it has many religious undertones. I don't disagree with the message of charity though.

  • @2groomer Because a Manger represents a Christian Christmas and they were going for a non religious message.

  • Why no Manger?

  • Does anyone know who is singing this version of Do You Hear What I Hear?

  • @charles42206 Copeland sings this, it's from the "Maybe This Christmas Tree" Album.
