Peavey 6505+ 112 Combo, Schecter C-1+, Bad Horsie Wah, Boss CH-1, Boss NS-2, Ibanez TS9, being recorded by a Shure SM57 into a Phonic Helix board into Logic Express (No EQ or editing).

  • @ChaserHUN It affects it in quite a few ways. I normally have my pre gain on around 3 with the tube screamer on gain at 1/4, tone at 1/2, and level on full. So the distortion on it is a nice ammount to play metal. It sounds better to get your distortion like this, opposed to say having your amps pre gain distortion on 5. It makes the bottom end alot tighter, and adds a nice crunch to the sound. It also increases your sustain. I would recommend it if you have a tube amp :)
