Somerset High School jumpers take jumps at a foot below average in order to pinpoint weaknesses in their form. This video addresses some common mistakes made by new high jumpers and recommends ways to fix such practices.
The soundtrack is "The Escape" by Michael Grima (myspace.com/michaelgrima)
this guy works with olympians. i don't think the "higher heights" critique applies. he knows what he's doing.

this is a really good video, i found some things i know i do and i am trying to correct them. my problem is that i have to use youtube as a coach because we dont have a coach that works with me at our school since i am the only high jumper. i have been doing fine so far i got 5'8" as a freshman but it really sucks not having a coach, anyway this was a really well done video.

great vid, its nice to see you're feedback on each of their jumps

good analysis but i find most mistakes are because of the height. if i had 2 jump that compared to a height heigher i would have more mistakes. maybe the jumpers could have done a 3 step causingmore effort in the jump

hey you should bring your jumpers to higher heights because they can't get the exact form your trying to teach them, when they jump their head is already about to hit the mat thus less arch in the back meaning more clearance
