Get a 4 channel. If you can handle a 4 channel, get a 6 - 7 channel. I recommend getting a raptor 30 for your first 3d heli. many people object to it, but I fly the big gassers, and they fly much easier than the electric 3d helis (such as the trex 450).

How did you crash your falcon 40? Could you fly it around before you crashed it? Why dont you just fix it? The Walkera 4G3 is a waste of money. I think your best bet is building a larger heli (like a raptor 50) and learning off of it. Its glow powered, so you will have to find a good field to fly in, or join a club. I also recommend getting a good radio, such as a DX7. Joining a club can be very helpfull, too, so look into that. Theres loads of people in clubs who would love to teach you.
