You know what I just realized? And maybe everyone already knows this but this is my first time watching this musical. But, this is basically just a remake of Romeo and Juliet! This scene of the brawl is just like the scene between Mercutio, Tybalt and Romeo. Tony like Romeo trys to stop the fight, Bernardo like Tybalt murders Riff who like Mercutio is Tony's best friend. In response, Tony murders Bernardo out of anger just like Romeo murders Tybalt. Hmmmm how weird, haha.
