ROYAL ENFIELD C5 MEGAPHONE SOUND.

Just fitted a universal short megaphone from Classicbikeshop co.uk. Very easy to fit and superfast delivery time. The bike now has much more punch all through the rev range with less vibration and a better top end, with a significant weight saving and much better sound. The standard ecu seems to have learnt the new exhaust after about 15miles and the plug is a good colour.

Thank u very much for the enlightenment. so thats the diffrnce. ohc vs push rod... but i prefer the upswept silencer, it adds to the look and unlike the japanese ones. thanks again, but i miss the quite serene country sides you drive, probably uk? alas now a days riding a 2 wheeler in indian roads have become very risky. pls keep posting the knacks and technical bits to educate, more videos? thanks in advance, cheers!

@papilon975 I will soon be fitting the Upswept silencer that is fitted to the Trials Bullet as I love the look very much. I would like one day to ride a Bullet on Indian backroads,the traffic in Indian towns and Citys looks very scary. Travel to India from the UK is very expensive and it takes a very long time to get the Visa and other travel documents.

It would fit with the reducers supplied,but the Honda revs too high,it would be far too loud and wouldnt sound right,but it would definately improve the performance.

boss, sounds okay but the bull looks dwarfed with the 3/4 megaphone. didnt you like the Upswept silencer? and why cant re put a tachometer in the classics? is it modifiable?

@papilon975 I like the look of the upswept silencer but I wanted to see how well it would perform with a totally unsilenced racing megaphone. As for a rev counter,it isnt realy needed on a bike that revs so slowly. The rattling noise will get less as the engine beds in,but pushrod engines do make more noise than OHC types. A megaphone will drown out any noise the engine makes.
