Saxby Chambliss Salutes Atlanta's Military

U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss addressed Cobb County and Metro Atlanta business executives and service men and women at the Atlanta Regional Military Affairs Council's 59th Annual Military Affairs Luncheon on May 23 at the Cobb Galleria Centre.




The ARMAC luncheon, sponsored by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, fosters partnerships, education and a strong working relationship between the business and military communities in the Atlanta area.

By hosting ARMAC and this event, the Cobb Chamber is able to honor the work of local service men and women and recognize the important role the defense industry plays in Cobb's economy.

As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee Senator Saxby Chambliss has been a strong voice for Georgia's military community. And, as the ranking republican on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Senator Chambliss was one of the select few to have first-hand knowledge of the whereabouts and recent raid against Osama bin Laden.

Through the ARMAC luncheon and leadership programs such as Honorary Commanders, the Cobb Chamber provides a vital link between its member businesses and their military counterparts.
