  • My favourit bug. =P Where do you live?

  • We live in Alexandria, VA, and these were the cicadas that hatch every 17 years. There were so many of them people were raking their yards and putting them in trash sacks. And yes, (in reply to Bokumaru) I know there's bad grammar, but too much trouble to take out the apostrophe!!

  • in USA millions of them are coming out of the ground

  • for some country this is rare site... hmmm I wanna pet one ^^.

  • i came here to see a goddamn cicada explode!!!!!

  • No EXPLOSION.. :(... And these cicadas are harmless untill you yawn and one "accidently" flies down your throat and u choke to death.

  • in Missouri one year the 17, 5 and 1 year ones all came out at once it was like 96 or 97 does anyone remember that? it was so bad literally you could not walk out side without taking a step and hear them screeching

  • FANKLY MAH DEAR I DONT GIVE A VAN DAMN.

  • @Lonestarry I was a bit mistaken, the eggs hatch much quicker, though the larva fall from the trees the eggs are layed in and burry themselves a foot or two underground, and stay there for 13 to 17 years, depending on where you live. Then when they are mature, they dig themselves out and start all over again. But yea, one of the longest maturing stages Ive ever seen, besides humans that is.
