  • Chicken Lovers of the World Unite!! Your video of Sweetie was awesome!! I have quite a few birds, well 20 and I do have favorites. Dont get me wrong love them all but a certain few are lap sitters!! Since they were hatched. Thanks for sharing!! :) :)

  • Aw... This made me remember my baby chick. She's a big girl now, living with a family, but she was quite the snuggler. And she loved little kids. If people knew how sweet a pet chicken was, they'd be in households as often as cats and dogs!

  • @n1les This is a pretty late; sorry. chickens themselves don't smell, but as they clean themselves you will notice dandruff like flakes that fall from their bodies. this "dandruff" is very smelly and can get everywhere. As far as poop goes, their poop size and shape can vary and please remember that chickens poop wherever they please, even if its right on your shirt. Unless you will have a dedicated room for the chicken, it will be best for it to be outside.

  • I want a pet chicken!

  • She was such a cute and pretty birdie! :)

  • i miss my white leghorn. she was the best pet I will and only have.

  • Aww, she was beautiful.

  • Can you tell me if one chicken smells? plus do do they make a mess with there droppings? I want to get one as a house pet, if i convince my mother :(

  • we have 2 plymouths along with 2 reds and a yellow/blondish plump one, which off the top of my head can't remember the breed.

one of the plymouths has taken a liking to me so much that everytime i go out to see them, she comes over to me and shadows me almost everywhere i go.

i pick her up easily and hold her, scratching her neck, etc. she gets relaxed and her eyes close somewhat.

i should spend more time holding her after watching this video.

  • just gto some barred rocks in the mail today there one of my favorite types
