  • Its funny seeing ppl who do tk and karate trying to make excuses lol!!!!!!

  • Muay Thai is designed to kill. I'm Thai, I know it. Thai warriors used Muay Thai to defend Siam for long time ago. They went to war without shields or armors. Just swords or spears. Every part of their bodies can be used as weapons. Some of the fetal moves were lost or banned. It's really difficult to find them now.

  • TKD is a joke martial art.

  • @smiley6668 Agreed. It depende on the practitioner, not the style.

  • @daaskapital1 fair point but the science still dictates that the technique has great power and proves the kicks arent week but if you ask me only people at the right level can perform it right and may i add itf tkd is the one not olympics style wtf because they dont punch to the head.... and muay thai has great technique for power that works for everyone :P

  • @smiley6668 That show was bullshit the 'Muay Thai' fighter was really a mma fighter, meaning that he is not as well versed in the style as say a proper muay thai fighter. Furthermore, the style of the MMA fighter was horrible to say the least. The show provides no overwhelming evidence of how well each style is compared to one another.

  • @daaskapital1 type Fight Scienze Kicks (Capoeira, Karate, Muay Thai, Taekwondo WTF) 2010 into youtube and watch it

  • people lets not forget that both muay and tkd has many styles too for instance tkd wtf has no punches to the face so very poor guard itf has punches to the face so better guard .. and then theres the style the korean army train in to kill would beat any muay thai ring fighter and vice versa muay thai has the modern style similar but never as good as a traditional style, original muay boran styles and again the style the army would be trained in .... so comparing styles is poo its the fighter

  • @affigermensch Hahaha, you contradicted youself. First stating that they aren't weak but then claiming that they are for show, not to do the hardest damage. TKD isn't really helpful in real combat situations. The stance they have, does make the kicks weaker. Not to mention the way they flail their legs around, its just hopeless.

  • @0vo0 today is called Muay Chaiya. There are others such as Muay Korat, Muay Chaek (spelling?) etc. haha, lucky you. I would love to learn Muay Chaiya, sadlym however, i dont think there is a trainer around. oh well, im still happy with sticking in Muay thai.

  • @0vo0 Yes Muay Thai is considered as a sport version of the ancient way. However, It can also be argued that Muay Thai is still a martial art as most, if not all Thai people live and breathe Muay Thai today. Another factor backing up the fact that MT is a martial art is that any Thaiboxer still has to get blessed by monks. He also must get his mongkon and prajheeds blessed by monks. Just a quick fact, Muay Boran is an umbrella term for several regional 'ancient styles'. The most survived one ...

  • Actually I have a friend who trains muay thai with me he did 4 years of tkd before he switched to muay thai, he's only been doing muay thai for a year and he's won gold medals in competitions he still has the reflexes from tkd helped him advance in thai
