What Indonesian earthquake?
On 30 September, an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Padang, Sumatra, causing immense destruction. A devastating aftershock followed a day later. The death toll has surpassed 1,100 and there are grave fears for hundreds of people who are missing or trapped under rubble. World Vision is providing relief assistance to affected families.
