http://www.baumanmedical.com - Even before the FDA approved bimatoprost (Latisse) for eyelash growth, we knew of it's powerful effect on hair follicles. Patients, doctors and others always wondered if bimatoprost/Latisse would be leading the way as the next class of topical medications for hair growth on the scalp. Does Latisse work for scalp hair? What are the side effects of Latisse for the scalp? How much hair will grow from Latisse on the scalp?
Many of these questions remain unanswered, but Allergan has already initiated studies in their quest for FDA approval for latisse for scalp hair growth. Currently, Latisse is NOT FDA-approved for this use, only for eyelash growth.
At Bauman Medical Group, we've had a number of patients request Latisse specifically for male pattern hair loss and female pattern hair loss. We are monitoring their response to the treatments and monitoring for any side effects from Latisse.
For more information about our patients and their use of Latisse on the scalp, please contact Dr. Alan Bauman at 561-394-0024 or visit http://www.baumanmedical.com
