This short film was shot in Glasgow, Scotland in the summer of 2007.The party took place in the Eagle room of the Glasgow Steiner school. The camera used was a Canaon 1014XL-S and the film stock used was Kodak Plus X. The telecine transfer was a DIY effort using a modified Eumig 610D projector and a large plano-convex lens to magnify the gate. The transfer was done in real time at 18fps although the unit does have the capability of frame by frame transfer.I used an old Sony 1ccd camcorder which gave reasonable results, however I will soon be transferring all my super 8 footage using my new (although its old) 3ccd camera (Sony DCR-TRV 900E)...I shoud get much better transfers using this camera.Hope you like the film.

  • Hi..sorry for late reply...although the Canon 1014-XLS has an in camera dissolve function I am afraid this was not in camera...I used an editor for the dissolve. The Canon super 8 cameras are superb in my opinion. I look forward to seeing your films shot on your 514...an excellent camera.

  • Wow, Was that an in camera dissolve at 1:28. I have the Cannon 514 and have yet to show stuff on here that I took last year.

  • Great emotion conveyed here.

  • what a great wee surprise- very well put together too.
