You want to link up your iPod or your iPhone to you car stereo but you don't want the craptacular sound quality of a FM transmitter and your state has one of those "no figeting" hands-free laws.... So... whatcha' do?

Well, if you're lucky, you get a Kensington LiquidAUX to connect, charge and control your iPod or iPhone.

  • Just a not for people who might want to buy the Liquid Aux, it does not work as a handsfree device on the iPhone. There is no microphone and the call will not play though the speakers. You will want the Liquid Aux BT for that but it does not charge it basically adds bluetooth to your existing radio.

  • SupraWes,

    Thanks for the note.

    .

    Peace,

    Fr. Robert

  • dont like the remote control

  • logitechoz,

Really? I've grown to like the remote. It's small and feels nice on my steering wheel. Peace, Fr. Robert

  • will it work on the ipod touch 4th gen

  • What about the USB slot in the device? can you not charge the IPhone from this USB slot with a proper cable?

  • I just installed mine. My stereo has pretty good sound and when i used the base docks sound it was really flat. I hooked it up to the headphone portion and the sound was A LOT better. But then the remote doesnt work...

oh well got it for $20 on sale online.

  • The Liquid Aux BT has a USB charger, you can charge your ipod/iphone with the proper USB cable

  • This review is outrageously well done. I can't lie, my opinion of the Kensington LiquidAUX is not as good as the reviewers. I have tremendous issues with electrical interference with my unit (iPhone 3GS 3.1.1) But on a production basis alone, this review was outstanding.

  • I´ve tested the Kensington LiquidAux and the Griffin Tuneflex Smartclick for some months. - The Griffin win my comparison. The Kensington Liquidaux remote does often not work with my IPOD Touch and i was very disappointed with it, the Griffin Tuneflex remote never fail.

  • hi .. thanx for the review ... i'm considering it, however, have a question

does the remote control work even if the charger bit is in the armrest storage area ..

    thanx

  • Are you sure about that "built-in microphone in the adapter that expands the speakerphone of your iPhone" bit at 4:06? I been using the LiquidAUX with my iPhone 3G for about 6 months now, and when use the speakerphone during a call, the audio comes out from the iPhone's built-in speaker, not my car's, so it appears that the LiquidAUX is designed more to listen to music than to talk on the phone. I did not know I could use the remote to answer calls either, will try that out. Cool video BTW.
