Men of War: Vietnam (PC) is a new game in 1C Company's critically acclaimed series. Two story-driven campaigns let you feel the explosive mix of the jungle, Hueys and rock-n-roll in early 1968. The US campaign focuses on a team of elite spec ops soldiers, each one of them with their own unique personality. The unit includes Sergeant John Merrill, machine gunner Jim Walsh, sniper Sonny Armstrong, grenade launcher operator Carl Dillan and combat engineer Bill Kirby. In some missions they can count only on themselves, while in the others they act together with regular US and South-Vietnamese troops. The North Vietnam campaign tells the story of two Soviet military consultants and soldiers of the North Vietnam Army who are the only survivors of an ambush by US troops. The task of getting back to the North Vietnam territory is a difficult one: they have no means of radio communication, no wheeled vehicles, and it's too far to make it there by foot. On their way these warriors will be involved in a chain of bloody engagements and find themselves in the dead center of the Tet offensive. Their missions range from special operations to full scale battles. www.menofwargame.com

* Missions include an ambush on the Ho Chi Minh trail, a game of cat and mouse in the Mekong Delta, raids into Cambodia and Laos, bridge defense during the Tet offensive and more
* New weapons and units include the M-16, T-54, M-113, Patton III, M-60, AK-47, M-14, RPG-2, M-72 LAW, RPK and many more
* Multiplayer mode - co-op for up to 4 players

  • @horrwar My opinion on the games are that they are both very good games. For me, i like Men of War better because it is more tactical, but it does carry a VERY heavy micro management system(Which is a pain in the ass too me). Then again company of heroes is very fun also. It is much simpler too play and does not require as much management as Men of War. I think of Company of Heroes as a beginner RTS game. You can also construct structures in Company of Heroes which i though was pretty cool. :)

  • its to bad most of the game is stealth stuff .nothing better than big battles with surpport at the ready they cant say they had no ideas as its based on a real war tons of battles to add in. this might shock game makers but special forcres wernt the only groups over there fighting share it around.

  • i like this game, because it makes you manage a squad one by one :)

    well CoH sure is the best wwII strategy game but downside is, i hate the flag capture system

  • but company of heroes is very good

  • this game was crap.

    blurry characters if you zoomed out.

    If you wanted to move a group, the very annoying 'predefined grey characters' that show up.

    Picking up items from a deadman. didnt work good (to say it nicly)

    Company of Heroes sooo much better. The problem with company of heroes is that the PopCap is very low.

    And in the Expension, Tales of Valor. you cant save in Shirmish, cause it will crash on load then. (for me atleast)

  • Looks good but the soldiers is still the best!

  • @TheMycollect Is that the name of the second mission, I passed it but it took me 3 days

  • @evilmuffen117 hitman 1.....

  • @horrwar there are 2 really diferent games but men of war has a really heavy micromanagment system

  • @horrwar men of war totally especially the first one but CoH is alright too. ;)
