The Martin Jet Pack is unveiled and flown at AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on July 29, 2008. There was a bit of confusion at the beginning of the presentation dealing with the crowd. At first it wasn't clear how close the crowd could be, and barriers were not present. It took about 30 minutes to move the crowd back approximately 75 feet. Luckily I was able to get a front row seat.
if the pilot was worth a crap he shoulda flew higher without help. it looks like they are carrying him

@fictitious3 It can fly for 30 miles in 30 minutes, they just held it there so that it wouldnt drift into the crowd. It can reach 8000 feet altitude.

yep, spend 70k on this and you need 2 goons to stabilize the flight on both sides while flying less than 5 meters off the ground. Been browsing all over youtube and I haven't seen any videos of martin jetpacks that can fly around freely and unassisted. Not even their own trained pilots.
Looks like a high school science project to me.

Why is 90% of this video boring stuff nobody cares about? Why are they holding him? We don't want to see that. We want to see someone fly. Those two guys ruin it big time.
