  • Not the Left Banke but very very good.

  • @bobrhode2 The Left Banke version will always be the best, but I think The Four Tops did a wonderful job.

  • Joyful Noise made me watch this.

  • I worked delivering coal in the late 50,s I used to go to coal mines with my driver mate and pick up coal and bag it up then deliver it to housolds in the liverpool area.

on pay day I would scrub all the coal dust off and get dreesed up in my teddy boy suit and go to Yankee Warrington pubs and play the Fourtops on the Juke Box, I was in Heaven.

  • The absolute BEST version of this song.

  • I always liked the original until I heard this version by The Four Tops. Wow, thats all I can say, and Levi Stubbs voice, just takes me away. All you have to hear is his voice one time, and it just sends chills down my spine.

  • I USED TO SEE THE 4 TOPS LIVE EVERY YEAR AT THE BKLYN FOX THATURE WITH MURRY THE K. GREATEST SOUL GROUP.

  • Love the Left Banke version, but Levi Stubbs does the song justice in his impassioned yet sensitive style.

  • Levi Stubbs (R>I>P) was the key sound of this fantastic group...this band never did a bad song....right up through the end.....can listen to them anytime... harmony extraordinaire......ty for the upload !!!!

  • BOTH were terrific; the Four Tops AND The Left Banke.

  • Excellent Song !

  • this versions better in my opinion
