First Congregational Church Preschool

"Parent and teacher recommended for over 65 years"

Our Philosophy

"It is our philosophy that experience is the best teacher." We believe that preschool aged children build stong emotional educational foundations through their active involvement in age-appropriate experiences in a safe and loving educational enviornment.

Our Purpose Our purpose is to provide a warm and friendly program that is sensitive to the specific needs of the preschool child. We are a non-profit, nonsectarian, interracial educational institution dedicated to providing a half day program that benefits the child, the parent, and the community.

Our Goals for your Child To provide opportunities for being with other children in a safe and healthy setting conductive to development of wholesome social relationships. To provide appropriate play experiences that will contribute to the emotional and developmental needs of the child. To build important foundations for future academic skills based on the child's individual needs, interests, and abilities.

Our Goals for the parents To provide a loving educational enviornment for the child while the parents persue their own work or other interests. To provide helpful early childhood information and resources to parents. To become a partner with the parent in the educational and social development of their child. To provide regular communication with the parents through monthly newsletters and classroom notes. To provide an open classroom enviornment where parents are always welcome to visit or volunteer.
