Christmas Song by D W Solomons
score and parts available at
http://dwsolo.load.cd/sheetmusic/sm-84929_christmas_song_for_clarinet_or_alto...

This song started as a setting for alto voice and guitar of a poem by Audrey Vaughan
(the original can be heard at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQfRYqYAB3I )

This slightly more ornamented version for alto saxophone and guitar was written for the Chilean Duo El Alam-Bert (Moris El Alam and Michel Bert)
who perform it here.

Whereas I opted for very illustrative visual imagery for the video of the original song, I have chosen a more mysterious and reflective series of winter photos to accompany this wordless performance.
Someone is searching, but all remains unidentified, all rendered uncertain by the snowy weather.
The photographs were taken by Reinhold Behringer in a park in Harrogate, Yorkshire.

  • @MartinGaskellMusic Thanks Martin, pity they aren't playing together any more, but maybe some other duos will be interested in the Valparaiso stretch :-)

  • They could play that on the Valparaíso Metro and make a few thousand pesos! It's just the right length to play between El Salto and Quilpué!

[Que podrían ganar unos cuantos miles de pesos por tocar esa música en el metro de Valparaíso! Es la longitud adecuada para llevar a cabo entre Estación de El Salto y Estación Quilpué!
