Why Libya? 'Oil, gold, uranium, weapons tests mean long conflict in US plans'

The war of intervention in Libya is yet another American illegal adventure, argues Keith Harmon Snow, an independent war correspondent. The objective, he says, secured access to Libya's significant oil supply, other mineral resources and defense testing. He says the argument of humanitarianism and stopping a "warlord" was a absolute nonsense. If that argument were true, he contends, there are far more brutal war criminals in African countries the US could have chosen to target.

Gaddafi knew the us dollar was loosing value so he wanted to change the main currency to gold , that would cripple the US economy and power because instead of buying oil with dollars we would have to pay in gold and keep our already devalued dollar, do you really think the US would let that happen, nope! I see no human rights in any of this. Libya has a current head of state that was never elected. The petro issues are ridiculous. We don't need a foreign country to weapons test. Industrialist of today are more interested in licenses and markets, not totalitarian control of commodities! Gadahfi's factions have no strategic projection power, they are anti-riot internal security... and the rebels are indigenous people who are in armed revolt over this ineffectual state.
