People are still talking about saturday night's White House Correspondents Association dinner and comedian Wanda Sykes' performance. She poked fun at everybody from President Obama and Vice President Biden to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and former Vice President Dick Cheney.

But. Sykes reserved her toughest jabs for conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, slamming him for saying he hopes President Obama fails. Her joke compared Limbaugh to Osama Bin Laden and encouraged the president to look into whether Limbaugh was "the 20th hijacker but he was so strung out on Oxycontin that he missed his flight."

Sykes' joke elicited laughter from most in the crowd, including President Obama. But some believe the joke was in poor taste and White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said on Monday that the Sept. 11 terrorist attack is a topic "better left for serious reflection than comedy."

WACH FOX News viewers responded to an online poll with 63% saying Sykes went too far with the joke while 37% felt it was okay.

  • @2PaperTigers Sure, don't everyone wishes that? Too bad we won't be alive by that time.

  • @lokkstar Yeah, maybe we'll have a president that actually delivers on his or her campaign promises.

  • @2PaperTigers I'm not annoyed, Why would I be? I don't care much about the both but it seems your over reacting about Sykes. Let her say whatever she wants, next year you can vote for a president who won't have a comedian smash on Rush. That's the beauty of United States. Get over it.

  • @lokkstar It doesn't hurt me at all, but you seem annoyed. Wanda didn't deliver. Its that simple. You can bring in all your side tangents as much as you want but it doesn't change the fact that she wasn't funny. I'll tell you again, if you want to see someone deliver at a correspondence dinner check out Stephen Colbert.

  • @2PaperTigers Why don't you go focus on something more important then a comedian making jokes at the correspondence dinner? Go focus on why republicans such as Bush & Dick, why they support torture. Go focus on something that can benefit people, not about a comedian on a poll making jokes. If that truely hurts your ass, take a chill pill because that's what a comedian will do; step out of the rules to make the joke funny. If you don't know, now you know.

  • @lokkstar She can say whatever she wants on her own show, there are ethics associated with the White House podium that she did not follow. We shouldn't vote for people for what they say but what they do. Speech doesn't have to be professional or respectful when it isn't from the government's podium. Hate in society is perfectly normal, it falls withing normal standard deviation. The KKK, Rush, Black Panthers and you can say whatever you/they want.

  • @2PaperTigers Then why is it so bad that she does it from the correspondence dinner? She should be able to say whatever she wants, the government should be able to say whatever they want shouldn't they? That's why we vote for them. People should have the right for freedom of speech but at least make the speech professional and respectful. We don't need any more hate, do you think it's okay that the KKK goes around and ask white people to join their clan, make speeches to influence whites?

  • @lokkstar I think that's a gross generalization, but yes. Allowing someone to speak their mind gives the opportunity for other people to listen, process and either agree or disagree. Rush's downfall will be people listening to him and seeing his narrow views. You shouldn't take away his freedom of speech, not only does he have it as a citizen, but you're taking away the opportunity for other people to process and make their own decisions of his views. People should be given choices, not limited.

  • @2PaperTigers So you're saying that as long as they are not talking on a governement host show then it's okay to speak racially against other people? I think freedom of speech is limited in your mind rather then mines. There's a difference between a joke and when someone who is serious about a matter. Get your head out of your ass and don't call people fascist when all you can see is a narrow view. Let the man who is serious and agrees about torture be your hero.

  • @lokkstar It very much matters where someone says anything. Rush is free to say whatever he wants on his show. He has the freedom of speech and his show from which he can say anything. The Correspondence Dinner is a government hosted event. Subject to different ethics. You're calling Rush a nazi when you, yourself, want to limit his rights to speech and aren't willing to understand his views to better debate them. Sounds like you're the fascist to me.
