Ein Freund von mir hatte mal einen Unfall mit einem W124, allerdings "nur" mit 70-80 km/h. Der Benz war vorne komplett im Eimer, aber die Türen schlossen noch so satt wie bei 'nem Neuwagen. Ist also nicht ganz aus der Luft gegriffen, diese Werbung....

The W126 has been amazing since it came to the market. One just has to think of the sheer effort made by Daimler-Benz's engineers put into this vehicle when calculating that the impact speed must've been around 200 km/h or 125 mph. Both cars were travelling at at least a 100 kilometres an hour, most likely the other car was even faster. Today's cars are being run into barriers at 64, just for the sake of comparison. MB - built to protect your family.
